The NIBSCT is China's largest stem cell research and manufacturing company located in Tianjin Huayuan Hi-tech Park. It is dedicated to cord blood banking and the clinical application of stem cells, R&D, the manufacturing and distribution of monoclonal antibodies and gene chips. 

There are more than 300 staff members who work at NIBSCT, 95% of them have university degrees and 30% hold masters or doctorate degrees. Many of them have been educated at some of the finest Universities in the world, or have worked as senior managers and researchers in famous companies. The NIBSCT has established a post-doctoral training workstation in 2001.

Stem Cell manufacturing is one of the key projects supported by the National Development and Reform Commission, as well as the key Hi-tech Industrial Project by the Tianjin government in 2005.

To comply with the NICPBP's (National Institute for the Control of Pharmaceutical & Biological Products, SFDA) standards for clinically used stem cells, the stem cells used for transplantation, made in NIBSCT are all processed and produced in the SFDA certified GMP facilities and inspected through their Quality Certificate  Approval system. This insures the highest product quality and safety.
