Now, I have a patient who had a stroke. She will go home after a few days. It's good news for her family. In fact, she has stayed in our hospital for almost two years. When she arrived in our hospital it was difficult for her to move. Now she can walk by herself.
I helped her improve herself, and two years is a long time. At first I just did stretching for her, because both of her legs were too stiff. She couldn't bend them. Later, I changed to different kinds of exercises to help her movement. Now, she can go shopping with her family, and climb stairs by herself.
Although she feels better than before, I feel somewhat sad. She is a young woman who was born in the 1970's. If she never had a stroke, she would be married and have a good occupation. In fact there are a lot of ways to avoid this disease that cost less than treatments. I wish that people pay more attention to how to avoid diseases, so they can enjoy a healthy life!
