This morning we had a patient leave our Hospital and his name is Cristian. He is twenty four years old and from Romania. He had suffered from Scleroderma for the past ten years. When he arrived at our Hospital, his limbs were purple and one of his ankles had an ulcer that was about two centimeters in size. The skin on all four limbs and face were as hard as leather. Because his facial skin was very hard with a high degree of tension, he was unable to smile very often.
After our treatment, his overall condition improved significantly, the skin on his arms and legs became ruddy and warm. The ulcer has decreased in size and the skin on his arms, legs and face have softened, giving him the ability to smile.
Before leaving, he gave us a deep embrace and said, "I will come back next year, see you next year, my dear friends."
We all had broad smiles on our faces and were very pleased. We hope, and are very encouraged, that his condition will continue to improve, and we look forward to hearing further good news from him.
